Hershey Track

Down here in the schools, they hold the Hershey Track Meet. Rylan won third place in the softball throw and the 400m. A few weeks later we got an email from the association stating that he qualified for the Regional meet in those 2 events. It was held at Provo High School including all kids in Utah County who qualified. Rylan took third place again in the softball throw and 4th in the 400m. He ran that race in 1 min 12 seconds. At the end he said "mom, does it ever get to the point where after you run you do not want to throw up?" I laughed and told him yes, if you train, but that shows you ran your best. It was so fun to watch him compete. It took me back to all my years of track and field. I must say that I realized that it is way better to be the athlete than the spectator at a track meet. Thank you mom and dad for all the years you sat there and watched. Track meets are really long. CONGRATS Rylan, you are a natural athlete and you did great!

Keslee's Soccer

Keslee played soccer this year for the first time. She got to play on the Kindergarten team with kids her own size and she loved it as long as it was warm. On cold days, her whole attention was on her hands being cold, her feet being cold and why she had to wear her coat under her soccer shirt. It was really hard to get her to focus on the ball on those days. :) Keslee did really good. She was the only girl on her team and at times she would get in the middle of things, throwing her little elbows around and kick the ball. At other times, she would show everyone her neat tricks on the field in the middle of the games. It was pure happiness to watch her play. She is really looking forward to playing again in the fall.

Amanda's Birthday

Our sweet Amanda is now 11. For her birthday we took a few of her friends to Pizza Pie Cafe and then home to have a sleep over and watch movies. They had a lot of fun. From us and Grandma and Grandpa Daybell all she wanted was money. She has since bought some really cute clothes with it while we have been at the mall. She is starting to have her own little style and it is so cute to watch her pick out clothes.

She got to pick out an American Girl Doll from Grandma and Grandpa Bingham. She chose a look a like doll with a soccer outfit. It is cute that it really does look like her even down to the thick curly hair.

Amanda asked me to make a bright pink smiley face cake. She drew how she wanted it to look on paper and I did my best. It totally matches her fun personality. Happy Birthday Amanda! We love you!

Easter

We had a lot of fun dying 8 dozen eggs. Well, probably 7 dozen because they kids ate about a dozen while we decorated them.
The kids had a lot of fun finding their Easter baskets. They were all full of swim suits, flip flops and their favorite treats.

Even Paul had to find his basket. Alyssa helped him. :)
Keslee's Easter dress matches baby Lily. She loves it so much and wears it every Sunday.
